Almost every removals website avoids this question, and every customer asks it first. There is no single national price for moving house, because two identical looking three bedroom homes can differ by half a day of work once you look at the stairs, the parking and the loft.

Volume matters more than bedrooms
Estate agents describe homes in bedrooms, movers think in cubic metres. A couple in a three bedroom house who moved in two years ago may have half the volume of a family who have filled the same house for fifteen years, with a garage, shed and loft to prove it.
